The Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust was formed as a result of a merger of Southend Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust, and Basildon & Thurrock NHS Foundation Trust (‘the three NHS Trusts’) on the 1stof April 2020.
The primary focus of the Trust is to be an adaptive, well-led, high performing and innovative organisation which joins-up care for the people we serve, to deliver high quality, safe and responsive services shaped by best practice and our local communities, be an employer of choice for a supported, engaged and high performing workforce and to be effective and efficient with all our resources, creating an organisation that residents and staff can rely on for the long-term.
As a result of this; the Maternity Governance Team has recently been extensively expanded and restructured to ensure that the service moving forward is high quality, standardised and aligns itself with the Trusts goals and vision.
