We provide healthcare services to people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county borough areas, serving a population of around 450,000. We are ideally situated between Wales’s capital city, Porthcawl to the west, and the stunning scenery in the Beacon Beacons.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Band 8a Intrapartum Lead Midwife to lead on delivering safe and effective care with compassion.

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board has approximately 4500 births each year across two Obstetric Units, one stand-alone Birth Centre and community led home birth setting. We offer women and families all options for birth and this is an exciting role to support the strategic delivery of evidenced based intrapartum care and service improvement for our families

Just as we are committed to providing the best care, we also recognise that in order to achieve this, we need to look after our staff and invest in their development. This will be an opportunity for a co-produced development programme to support the ambition and delivery the Welsh Maternity Vision in our Health Board.
