We are a university hospital delivering 6500 babies a year supported by a level 3 neonatal unit.

Main duties of the job
Leading on the Public Health agenda you will provide outstanding results in your area of expertise, including Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle v2 requirements, smoking cessation and immunisations plus addressing health inequalities for women in Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire. We are forward thinking with motivated staff who strive to improve the quality of the service that we offer to our women, their babies and their families.Working closely with the Head of Midwifery, you will be an important member of the senior leadership team within the Women and Children Division of the trust, working collaboratively with the Consultant team to implement changes in practice in line with national guidance.You will have excellent communication skills along with visible, dynamic and inspirational leadership enabling the workforce to deliver safe and high quality standards of care.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior experienced, dynamic, high performing midwife to join the team as a Consultant Midwife Public Health. We are looking for a clinically credible midwife with a broad range of midwifery experience and exceptional clinical ability. We need someone who possesses strong clinical leadership and who has excellent communication and networking skills, able to support the maternity team on our Journey to Outstanding. You will need to be self -motivated, enthusiastic and have a distinct passion for maternity services and a drive for continuous improvement in maternity safety and experience.
