An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 6 Midwives to join the Fetal Medicine Unit team at Saint Mary’s Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
The Fetal Medicine Unit (FMU) at Saint Mary’s Hospital is a tertiary referral unit designated from April 2013 as one of 12 fetal medicine centers across England supported by Specialist Service Commissioning. The Unit serves the North West Region with a maternity population of over 50,000 deliveries per year.
The unit provides a full range of screening, diagnostic and therapeutic services supported by multi-disciplinary counselling for families who are faced with potential fetal / neonatal complications.
The successful candidate must be able to work across the managed clinical service at Saint Marys Hospital at Wythenshawe and Oxford Road Campus.
The candidate should be highly motivated, enthusiastic and feel able to provide holistic care to women and their families who face a sometimes-difficult decision making journey through their pregnancy?
Excellent learning opportunities are available and full training will be provided in assisting the Fetal Medicine Consultants with invasive procedures.
