This post is a key Organisational post providing leadership, support and guidance forsafeguarding children across the Trust that meets the statutory duties in line with Section11 of the Children Act 1989/2004.
The Named Midwife post will ensure the delivery of robust safeguarding arrangements,advice and support across the Trust that facilitates the safeguarding of unborn babies andpregnant women, in collaboration with other Named Professionals, CHFT services andmulti-agency teams.
The role will sit corporately and work as part of the Integrated Adults and ChildrensSafeguarding Team to deliver safeguarding training and supervision that supports staff inworking with families with complex needs and where safeguarding concerns are identified.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife with a commitment to safeguarding families to work as part of the Integrated Childrens and Adults Safeguarding Team. This post is a statutory Organisational role as defined by the Intercollegiate Document 2019. We welcome a creative, flexible individual who can demonstrate leadership ability in supporting midwifery, nursing, medical staff and allied health professionals with meeting their safeguarding responsibilities.
