The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is looking for motivated and enthusiastic Midwives to join our maternity team, we have various band 5 and band 6 positions available in all areas, including our continuity of carer models.

If you join our team as an experienced band 6, you will not only enjoy a robust induction package, but you will be afforded full rotational opportunities. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to bring your wealth of knowledge and experience to our maternity service.

If you join our team as a newly qualified midwife, you will find a friendly, nurturing environment with a preceptorship programme that has been developed in liaison with Preceptees for Preceptees. This tailor made package enables and empowers you to transition from student to autonomous practitioner.

Approximately 2500 babies are born each year at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, we offer women personalised care and choice of home birth, alongside Midwifery Led Care unit and multi-disciplinary care on our Delivery Suite. We are passionate about delivering safe, high quality services to the women and families accessing our care and we continue to strive to maintain one of the highest rates of normal births across our region. We have 3 Continuity of Carer teams achieving 37.6% of women booked on to a continuity carer pathway in August 2020. There are two further teams being planned in the upcoming months, in line with the Better Births national agenda.

Our maternity service is continually changing and evolving to meet the needs of the population and ensure women and their families have a positive birthing experience. We are a very friendly and supportive team who welcome innovative ways of working and new ideas.
