An exciting opportunity has risen within the Maternity Service for a Deputy Head of Midwifery post at Hampshire Hospitals on the Basingstoke North Hampshire Hospital (BNHH), Basingstoke site.
This is an opportunity for an individual who can hit the ground running, is passionate about midwifery and is ready to take on a strategic role with all that it encompasses.
This individual will take on take on responsibility for leading the professional aspect of the role as the designated Deputy Head of Midwifery on the BNHH Basingstoke site and will work in partnership with the Deputy Head of Midwifery on the Royal Hampshire County Hospital (RHCH), Winchester site to identify clinical and managerial priorities, ensure operational continuity is maintained, service improvements are realised, to meet the national agenda and local commissioning priorities.
The individual will specifically provide clinical, professional and operational midwifery leadership for the BNHH maternity service on the Basingstoke site whilst working in direct collaboration with the Deputy Head of Midwifery on the Winchester site and the Associate Director of Midwifery.
The post holder will work closely with the Associate Director of Midwifery and the Clinical Director for Women’s Health.
This is an opportunity to strategically influence service development.
