The States of Guernsey is recruiting midwives to work within its integrated midwifery team.
Clinical Lead Midwife
Salary: £38,055 - £50,172 per annum
Working in partnership with other Band 7 Midwifery Clinical Leads, you will provide leadership within the maternity services, ensuring the provision of safe and effective midwifery care whilst demonstrating excellent clinical skills.
You will promote excellence in care in the management of both normal and high risk antenatal, intrapartum and post-natal care as an exceptional role model in clinical practice over the 24 hours 7 days a week continuum, including an on call commitment.
As part of a team, you will take a lead role in developing maternity services including day assessment clinic, inpatient care, labour ward and transitional care and directly line manage a small team of midwives on a day to day basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver first class midwifery care, in a stunning Island setting.
Integrated Team Midwife
Salary: £31,531 - £42,715 per annum

This new team has been developed to improve continuity of care and carer and improve choices for women. As a member of this team, you will deliver midwifery care throughout the course of the pregnancy, intra-partum and postnatal period, both in the maternity unit and community setting.
This integration will maintain your all-round midwifery skills and provide the satisfaction of working closely with women who you have had time to build relationships with.
You will work in the hospital and community settings and be part of the on-call rota. Current on-call commitment is 2 to 3 times per month, plus extras for home births. Our birth rate is 600 per year, and our home birth rate is around 3%.
