Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and committed Professional Development Facilitator to work in the one of the busiest maternity units in the Midlands, currently undertaking care for 8000 women with approximately 6000 births per year. We have a strong and established Preceptorship Programme and have approximately 450 staff within our remit.

We have a newly opened co-located Birth Centre that provides care to 1,500 women and a high risk Labour Ward that delivers care to a diverse population with complex medical and social needs. We are a dynamic service and provide maternity care within Derby and the surrounding areas.

You will have a passion to share learning, develop all members of staff and have a drive to move the service forward. They will contribute to the implementation and delivery of education strategies within the department, as well as facilitating study days and developing the mandatory training programme. As a part of the Professional Development team they will have a passion for Maternity and demonstrate all aspects of compassionate care.

The role is advertised at full time but part time hours are also available. Hours will be split between Professional Development and clinical practice.
