Our midwifery unit at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital provides both Midwifery and Consultant led care with a delivery rate of approximately 650-700 babies per annum.
In addition, we offer a full range of services across our unit consisting of a midwifery led birthing room with birthing pool, two transitional care beds, 10 antenatal/postnatal beds, three high risk labour rooms, a bereavement suite, triage rooms and a pregnancy assessment unit. We also have a team of community midwives who have the opportunity to work between the community and the hospital environment.
Midwives must possess post-qualification experience and the ability to lead staff whilst delegating and prioritising their workload. The nature of the small unit means that our midwives get to know women really well and see them through all stages of their care, allowing them to provide a fully integrated service and giving you the opportunity to have a fulfilling career in a dynamic and exciting environment.
Midwifery Clinical Leads
ID 19561 Band 7 up to £47,650 p.a.
We are seeking to appoint Midwifery Clinical Leads to ensure the provision of safe and effective midwifery care whilst demonstrating excellent clinical skills. You will work in partnership with other Clinical Leads to promote excellence in care in the management of both normal and high risk antenatal care through the provision of exceptional role modelling in clinical practice.
We offer a full relocation package, which includes interview and relocation travel, in addition to our competitive pay, annual bonus and our additional bonus scheme of £3,000, payable after two and four years. We have an exceptional commitment to revalidation and cover the costs of NMC subscriptions. Furthermore we offer either subsidised accommodation or financial assistance to enable private rental or purchase for those travelling to the Island and support in applying for a local housing licence.
