Capital and Coast District Health Board is one of 20 District Health Boards (DHBs) located throughout New Zealand. We serve a population of about 270,000 and provide some specialist services for a regional population of about 900,000 delivering community, primary, secondary and tertiary health services.

Our Maternity Unit at Wellington Hospital is modern and purpose built, providing secondary and tertiary services. We offer full maternity care through our midwifery and specialist teams and have around 3,600 births per annum at Wellington Hospital.

We are seeking competent midwives with at least 2 years midwifery experience working across the whole scope of midwifery practice to join our friendly and collaborative multidisciplinary team.

You are someone who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team, is well organised working efficiently and in partnership with women.

As a member of a friendly and collaborative team of midwives you will:
• Work across antenatal, labour and delivery and postnatal ward areas.
• Work rostered and rotating shift work. Currently we only recruit to 8 hour shifts.
• Have educational opportunities on the Quality Leadership Programme fully supported by CCDHB
