An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 7 Midwife to work alongside the Patient Safety and Quality team.
The post holder will work as part of the Patient Safety and Quality team to make positive changes within the service. The post holder will have the clinical expertise to drive these changes working closely with the multi-disciplinary team and the families in our care.
They will support, facilitate and co-ordinate the development of Clinical Governance in ensuring delivery of high quality care and robust governance frameworks.
The post holder will provide support to staff working within the Healthcare Group. They will be an active member of the team for Family and Women’s services working to ensure and support effective communication pathways and thereby improving the patient experience.
Required to organise own workload on a day to day basis, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative. Will act as lead specialist for area for Quality and Compliance.
Responsible for Co-ordinating, facilitating and supporting the multi-disciplinary team in Healthcare Group working towards achieving the CQC Standards.
To lead the health group with support and advice on quality issues and audit to all clinical staff, Allied health professionals, nurses, support workers and medical staff.
Co-ordinating and facilitating the Obstetric and Gynaecology Mortality and Morbidity Meeting and audit meetings within the Health Group.
Responsible for all procedural documents to ensure they are updated and reviewed in a timely manner in line with Trust Standards
Responsible for all NICE Guidance to ensure they are updated and reviewed in a timely manner in line with Trust Standards
Be approachable to staff and support them in initiating changes in response to concerns/complaints and clinical incidents and work alongside the Director of Midwifery and Lead Governance Midwife to sustain any changes within the service.
Assist with Legal Investigations as required.
