The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Band 7 Specialist Midwife Risk Manager to join the existing team to support the Risk & Governance Lead Midwife.

You will be a resilient team player and be able to build strong relationships with a range of staff groups and clinicians. You will be confident to work autonomously as required and be able to offer additional leadership to your team colleagues.

Approximately 6,200 women each year choose to birth at The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. We provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care across the Wakefield district and North Kirklees. We offer four choices of place of birth: home, a freestanding birth centre at Dewsbury District Hospital, an alongside birth centre and a consultant-led delivery suite in Wakefield.

We are continuing to implement the principles outlined within Better Births, and Continuity of Carer is high on our agenda. We have successful geographical models in the community.

Clinical Risk will be fundamental in nurturing a culture of patient centred, high quality and safe patient care across the organisation.
