We have an exciting new opportunity to Champion Inclusion and Diversity across the RCM’s London region, by becoming our Race Matters Project Worker (Midwife / MSW).

As our Race Matters Project Worker, you will:

• Promote and increase the racial diversity of the RCM’s membership in our London region, through organising and engagement activity with our potential new members.
• Take forward key aspects of the RCM’s Race Matters agenda and pilot approaches that may support other areas across the UK.
• Listen to the voices of our BAME members in the London region, and promote RCM activism in our London region, to support tackling racial inequality in maternity workplaces.

You will help us Be the Best We Can Be by:

• Successfully delivering a focused project with the aim to make the voice of our BAME members and potential future members heard.
• Working collaboratively with our Race Matters internal team to deliver our objectives and continue our work to support racial equality in maternity workplaces.
• Bringing your ideas, proactive approach, and enthusiasm to Team RCM.

You must be currently working as a Midwife or Maternity Support Worker. You will be required to live within a reasonable travel distance of all areas of London. You will be working virtually instead of travelling to start with, however travel throughout London will be required when working restrictions due to Covid-19 allow.
