Band 8a Lead Midwife for Education

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated, energetic and inspirational Midwife to become the Lead Midwife for Education within the Womens Health Division at UCLH.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that education continues to be promoted within the Division and leading, developing and managing the clinical education teams to deliver an exemplary education service to the maternity workforce. The successful candidate would be expected to be highly visible with clinical time an essential part of the role.

We are an innovative, ambitious and forward-thinking clinical division and we are looking to appoint an individual who can demonstrate excellence in educational and clinical leadership and who possesses the skills, knowledge and experience to deliver change, support innovation and quality improvement.

The Lead Midwife for Education will work in partnership with the senior management team to ensure that the division contributes significantly to the achievement of corporate objectives and that effective governance arrangements are implemented and maintained. The post holder will work closely with the Midwifery Matrons for Governance, Inpatient and Outpatient services and report directly to the Deputy Head of Midwifery.
