Band 8b Maternity Matron
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Midwife to become the Midwifery Matron for Inpatient services within the Womens Health Division at UCLH. This post is offered as a fixed term opportunity for a period of 12 months.

The post holder will be responsible for leading, developing and managing the clinical teams to consistently deliver an exemplary maternity service and ensuring high quality maternity care experiences for women. The successful candidate would be expected to be highly visible with clinical time an essential part of the role.

We are an innovative, ambitious and forward-thinking clinical division and we are looking to appoint an individual who can demonstrate excellence in clinical and operational leadership and who possesses the skills, knowledge and experience to deliver sustainable change, with the ability to shape, deliver and support teams with innovative ways of working.

The Matron for Inpatient Services will work in partnership with the senior management team to ensure that the division contributes significantly to the achievement of corporate objectives and that effective governance arrangements are implemented and maintained. The post holder will work closely with the Midwifery Matrons for Outpatient services, Governance and Education and report directly to the Deputy Head of Midwifery.

Interview Date: Monday 8th March 2021.

Please note this role’s fixed term contract is for the purpose of covering maternity leave and therefore the end date is subject to change in line with this.
