King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching Trusts with a turnover of c£1 billion, 1.5 million patient contacts a year and more than 12,800 staff based across 5 main sites in South East London. The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) sites at Denmark Hill in Camberwell and at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in the London Borough of Bromley.

We are proud of our award-winning King’s maternity services. Our Denmark Hill site is in the centre of all that London has to offer. We respond with passion, creativity and skill to local maternity drivers, national policy requirements and the international pandemic. We always aim high and put women at the centre of our care as we continue our transformation journey.

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic midwives to join our fabulous teams to support our vision of being a great place to work. Being a great place to work means different things to different midwives so we are committed to a flexible approach to where and how you want to support your own work life balance. This means we are looking for midwives who want to enjoy their midwifery practice, develop their skills and advance their career options.

Do you like complex care? Our world class fetal medicine unit and our role as a tertiary referral service means we care for the most high risk and advanced obstetric cases.

Do you love midwifery led care? From home births to water births in our beautiful midwife led rooms, we are dedicated to informed choice and to elevating our service to meet the care needs of women and their families.

Do you have a great idea of how to improve our outpatient services? Let us know and we can support you in developing quality improvement projects for new ideas!

We can offer a variety of roles that will use your skills across all areas of midwifery practice. Full and part time roles are available with options of rotations throughout the service.

We are looking for midwives to join our traditional midwifery teams. Here you will provide antenatal and postnatal care and become part of our virtual parent education team.

Becoming a King’s midwife will mean you are supported by a team who want to develop your career, prioritise your wellbeing, increase your skills and make our service a great place to work. You will be an essential part of our transformation programme to offer an outstanding maternity service. Staff are most important and a special asset, we value, respect and treasure our midwives.
