An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Midwife to obtain the position of Public Health Specialist Midwife within Maternity Services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the public health agenda within the maternity services is delivered in line with the Welsh Government’s strategic vision, which aims to improve health and wellbeing and reduce inequalities, improve the quality, equity and effectiveness of healthcare services and protect people from infectious and environmental hazards.
The post holder will be expected to act as a professional role model in order to ensure others are enablers to support the priorities for achieving good health in the local population. They will be required to provide direct and indirect care, whilst developing others through training and education and be able to demonstrate an advanced knowledge of the public health agenda.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
