Would you like to be a part of our dynamic team who are focussed on creating a holistic and individualised experience for women and their families, you need to be motivated to want change and enthusiastic to be an autonomous midwife in a supportive unit. We have commenced environmental changes to the department to encourage women to have a calm birth experience, with new birth pools on the way.

Giving women choice in their place of birth, birth choices and autonomy can lead onto a positive birthing experience, we embrace and support aromatherapy, water births and hypno-birthing. Creating a core team will enable passionate midwives to provide individualised care; we work closely with our new Consultant midwife with individualised plans created for women.

If you feel passionate and enthusiastic about want to support women and their families in their journey then you are what we are looking for. We want Midwives with demonstrable clinical competencies to help us promote physiological birth in our Birth Centre (AMU).Our birth rate remains 14% of BWH total births and our water-births are improving.
