We are offering an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, dynamic and experienced leader and midwifery practitioner who has a keen interest in shaping the future of our Maternity Services here at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust.
The service is looking for an experienced midwife to join the Senior Midwifery Management Team. Reporting to the Director of Midwifery and working alongside an amazing team of maternity, divisional and trust leaders.
You will support the Director of Midwifery in providing managerial leadership to all staff within Maternity Services and play a key part in developing and shaping maternity services across Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley and Bexley areas, in line with the ambitions of the Better Births Agenda.
A key focus of this role will also be to manage, lead and coordinate the annual projects related to the safety action points defined by NHS Resolution Maternity Incentive Scheme.
You must have substantial experience working in a senior managerial post within Maternity Services and have extensive knowledge of the National Maternity Agenda.
The successful candidate will be considered an excellent communicator and be an effective advisor/teacher and leader. This role is aiming to make a real difference to the quality of care delivered to women and their families across the whole of the maternity care pathway, with a specific focus on the normal child birth agenda.

The post holder should be educated to a minimum of Masters level or equivalent demonstrable experience and ideally will hold a post registration leadership qualification. Project management experience is also desirable.
