The University of Nottingham are inviting applications for a Professor in Midwifery to join our School of Health Sciences. This is a key role within the Division of Midwifery and the Maternal Health and Wellbeing Research Group, reporting to the Head of the School of Health Sciences and working directly with the Lead for the Maternal Health and Wellbeing Research Group.

As Professor of Midwifery, you will be responsible for conducting programmatic research in maternal health and wellbeing that will inform policy and practice; the supervision of postgraduate research students and supporting early career researchers.

You will be PhD qualified, with an extensive track record of publications and an established reputation in midwifery research among peers, as well as a record of excellence in undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching. You should also be a qualified midwife with active registration of a recognised professional statutory/regulatory body. You will be a critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as proven interpersonal skills and an ability to lead, motivate, develop and manage others.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is made up of four schools: Health Sciences, Life Sciences, Medicine, and Veterinary Medicine and Science.
