Based on our expanded provision of both undergraduate and postgraduate provision of midwifery education, the Faculty is seeking to enhance the department’s profile through the provision of two senior lecturer appointments to the midwifery department.

About the Role
Based largely on the successful expansion of undergraduate and postgraduate provision; the Faculty is seeking to make two academic appointments to the department of Midwifery. Successful applicants will join a dynamic and innovative team and will make a major contribution to the leadership, management and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes.
Excellent communication skills with an ability to be flexible and responsive in a team are crucial to the roles. You will be expected to make a contribution to research in line with Faculty research themes. All themes have successful research leaders who play a key role in supporting and developing academic staff to further enhance their research profile. This is an exciting opportunity for appointees to join a Faculty with a growing research culture and portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes which address key workforce challenges.
Current registration as a midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council is essential. Similarly, you will be experienced as a Midwifery Lecturer and have an excellent reputation for teaching and supporting students in higher education. You will enjoy a challenge and thrive on new opportunities and experiences, stretching your talents and developing your expertise in tandem with sound emotional intelligence and a keen drive to work collegiately with peers and students alike.
As a successful applicant you will have, at minimum, a relevant first degree. In addition, evidence of or working towards a teaching qualification, higher degree or PhD is also required.
